TAMING AND TRAINING YOUR MUSTANG WITH JUDY DUNCAN

These pages are for you if you just acquired a wild horse.  Judy Duncan knows the mind of wild horses. Allow her to transform your journey sharing what she has learned to ease you and your new equine into the best possible relationship.  These pages can help experienced owners but are tuned for the novice owner.

Even in her 80’s she is still sharing what she has learned about the mind of horses to others and participating in the wild horse advocate world.

I only know Judy through conversations and social media. Judy grew up up in the 1940’s with dyslexia: she says with a smile,” I didn’t have to go to school”, then she laughs and says yes they say I had what they call today Defiant Disorder.

With Judy's guidance over the phone and live video camera we have brought two Devil's Garden babies happily into the early stages of training.  One step in Judy's plan calls for an ancient training method called long lining. For centuries horsemen and novices used this method safely to teach their beasts of burden how to stop, back, and turn when they are plowing the field, or being ridden.
